Advisory, speaking, and advocacy on AI in primary care

I advise health systems, startups, community health centers, and FQHCs, along with the technology teams building for them, on how AI shows up in primary care. Grounded in research and life on the front lines, I evaluate whether a tool actually works in a real visit, show teams where it helps and where it falls short, especially for the patients most often left out, and pressure-test clinical safety and documentation quality. Think of it as a clinical AI advisor on the schedule your project needs, senior clinical judgment without the overhead of a full-time hire.

My own multi-site study of ambient AI scribes across four family medicine residencies won the 2025 AFMRD and NAPCRG national award for family medicine resident scholarship.

I serve in elected leadership in organized medicine. I have been on the board of the Sonoma Mendocino Lake County Medical Association for four years, currently as President-Elect, and I represent District X in the California Medical Association House of Delegates. I also advise the California Telehealth Resource Center on telehealth for safety-net and underserved settings. Across these roles, I carry the clinician and patient voice into the rooms where health technology gets decided.
